Pakistan will become the first country in South Asia to see electric buses on the roads this year. Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service and Skywell Automobile China have signed a strategic alliance agreement to establish a value chain for electric vehicles. According to the MoU, this project will be launched in two phases. The initial phase will cost 50 million US Dollars, while the second phase will see the construction of electric buses.
With the changes in energy strategy around the world, the development of new energy vehicles has become an important path for the development of the automobile industry in different countries of the world. In recent years, with the promotion of China's national policies, China's new energy vehicle industry is developing rapidly and China has become the largest manufacturer and consumer of new energy vehicles in the world. China is a world leader in the development of new energy vehicle technology. As China's most important cooperative partner, Pakistan and China are strengthening cooperation in various fields. This time, the introduction of the New Energy Vehicle will fully promote the rapid growth of Pakistan's automobile industry and usher in a new era of eco-friendly transport in Pakistan. It also added new life to Sino-Pakistani cooperation.
In fact, the Chinese automobile industry is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges as the automobile industry undergoes dramatic changes. China's new energy vehicles are entering a critical period, and their performance in the global market is steadily improving. In the year 2118, the share of Chinese new energy vehicles in the world market was 54% and in 2019 it was 51%. However, from January to March 2020, the demand for Chinese new energy vehicles in the global market declined due to the policy and the epidemic. But in the second quarter, the market is slowly recovering. And in April, China's share of the world's new energy vehicle market reached 57 per cent.
China accounts for more than 50 per cent of the world's renewable energy vehicles. The vehicles manufactured by China are better in many respects and their price is also reasonable. Recently, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and other world-famous car manufacturers have also started manufacturing electric vehicles. There is still a gap between Chinese companies and these companies in terms of brand power and technology. However, with the rapid growth of the overall capacity of Chinese companies, the "Chinese power" of new energy has started a new race in the global market. Overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities, China's new energy automobile industry is growing rapidly.
